 Ivaylo Dinev holds a BA in Southeast European Studies and a MA in Cultural Anthropology from University of Sofia, Bulgaria. During his MA studies, he worked primarily in the field of political anthropology. His practical experience includes fieldwork in Macedonia, Serbia, Greece, and Bulgaria. He is member of CES workshop group “Social Movements”, Border Crossing Network, and International Society for Ethnology and Folklore. He is one of the founders and authors of the independent online journal “dVersia.net” (in Bulgarian) for political, social, and cultural analyses. His main research interests are social movements in Southeast Europe, identity formation, collective actions, and participatory democracy.
Project title (provisional): Post-Socialist Protest Beyond the Liberal Consensus: Opportunities, Hegemony and Memory
